Now, the Academy is building a travel business, offering its members travel and lifestyle experiences at discounted rates. On June 12, Christopher Terry, IM Mastery Academy co-founder and CEO, announced the launch of the Academy’s new Travel and Lifestyle Experience (TLX) program.
TLX provides a retail travel-booking website that can enable members to save on the costs of hotels and resorts around the world. In addition, TLX members will qualify for a free annual Anniversary Trip after one year of active membership.* IM Academy is also pursuing plans to offer a variety of event and entertainment discounts.
“We’re basically bringing two of the largest industries in the world [together], two of the most exciting, most fun — and two of the industries that, in my opinion, literally have no borders and no boundaries,” said IM Academy’s Wes Melcher, a travel industry veteran who helped design TLX.
TLX Benefits
The membership benefits offered to TLX members are a blend of travel and lifestyle experiences and discounts.
Using TLX’s search engine, members can book discounted stays at over 800,000 resorts and hotels worldwide.
“You’re going to be able to book rooms through this website and save on your everyday travel,” said Melcher.
The search engine includes resorts and hotel brands with properties in locations such as Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe. TLX members can save on the per person per night cost of a hotel stay, and can potentially earn credits for benefits such as spa treatments, premium beverages, and excursions at some locations.
Members can take advantage of discounts whenever they would like to travel as part of the TLX Anytime Trips feature of the program. IM Academy is also considering plans to add group trips that would be available exclusively to Academy members who sign up for TLX. These trips would provide members with educational and volunteering opportunities.
For example, IM Academy is in the process of organizing Crypto Beach trips to the Dominican Republic and Mexico. These all-inclusive cryptocurrency-themed getaways would feature educational events and opportunities to engage with IM Academy’s top educators from the DCX digital currency academy. Another TLX Theme Trip is being planned for Las Vegas and would focus on the foreign exchange (forex) market.
TLX Impact Trips are also being organized, with the goal of providing members with meaningful experiences that represent Christopher Terry’s IM Mastery Academy ethos of elevating others. These excursions would help members give back and make a difference through addressing worthwhile causes such as environmental stewardship, educational access, and youth poverty.
“We will be doing some Impact Trips where the entire trip is focused on impacting either the youth through school projects, through orphanages, boys and girls club experiences, and also working with the environment,” said Melcher.
Another key benefit for TLX members is the Anniversary Trip, an annual outing TLX members qualify for on the anniversary date of their entrance into the program after remaining active for a full 12 months. Each Anniversary Trip covers the cost of a four-day, three-night stay at a hotel or resort, with the value increasing each year a member continues in the program. The first Anniversary Trip is planned for Mexico, and by year 10, members can select a location for their Anniversary Trip.
“It is a membership loyalty program on steroids,” said Melcher. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”
