The lockdown for covid officially ended in 2021, but some of the negative effects continued well into 2022. Because of slow economic growth and high unemployment levels, many people were forced to look for other types of work.  Many people are disillusioned with their financial situation and don’t see how they can improve it in the near future. While in normal economic times generally in job searching we think of questions like what is basic pay in salary.  However, during a recession job security is the prime concern. We wrote this article to help you figure out which type of job offers the best opportunity for you or your family to get ahead during the oncoming recession.

    1. Healthcare jobs

Healthcare is a booming industry, and there are plenty of jobs to go around. However, not everyone wants to work in the hospital or clinic setting. There are also many other opportunities in the healthcare field that you may be unaware of. For example, you could become a nurse practitioner, an assistant nurse practitioner or even an advanced practice registered nurse ). These positions are becoming increasingly common and can be rewarding careers with good pay and benefits.

    2. IT specialists

The information technology sector is one of the strongest performing industries right now, and it’s creating a ton of jobs for IT specialists as well as developers and programmers. If you have strong skills in designing software or developing websites and applications, this could be a great job for you!

    3. construction industry

The construction industry is one of the most recession-proof jobs out there. Construction jobs are recession-proof because they aren’t tied to any one season of the year, and can be done year-round.

Construction is an industry that can make money even in the worst recessions. It’s always been a good job for people who want to work all year round.

The good thing about construction is that it’s not tied to a single season of the year, so if you’re looking for a job where you can get work done during every season of the year, this is one of your best options.

    4. Educational services

Educational services are a great recession-free job for anyone, but specifically for those who have a passion for helping others. Getting paid to teach, coach or mentor is an amazing way to make money in your spare time. If you have experience teaching, coaching or mentoring already, you can easily switch careers in this field and start making money immediately!

In addition to being recession-free, educational services are also flexible and allow you to work when you want. This is perfect if you’re looking for more flexibility in how much time you spend working versus earning money. If you’re looking for something that requires less time commitment and more money potential, consider teaching English as a second language (ESL) classes or tutoring children in math and science.

    5. Government jobs (and other public service positions)

Many government job openings require only a high school education or less, so even if you didn’t go to college yourself you might still find yourself working in politics or public service. These positions may not pay as well as private sector jobs, but they do offer benefits such as health insurance. For instance, you can look up post office gds salary and you’ll find even though the salary is not too high but the benefits that come with the job more than makeup for it. Government employees have been more stable during recessions than most other industries because they are paid by the hour and don’t depend on sales or profits for their income. However, because government salaries tend to be lower than those of private employers, it can be difficult for working families to maintain their standard of living during a recession when their paychecks shrink.
