Having a child in Shapunjab can be quite a challenging experience, especially if you don’t know anything about the town. However, if you know where to look for information, there are a number of things that you can do to ensure that you’re prepared. Here are a few ideas.
Application process
Considering the fact that medical treatment is becoming very expensive for the common man, the Punjab government introduced a free health scheme. Under the scheme, all residents of the state can get access to free medical treatment.
According to the official site, the government has already issued 45 lakh health e-cards. These cards allow paperless treatment at public hospitals. Only those who qualify can apply for this scheme.
The most impressive part of this scheme is that it will give free health insurance coverage of up to five lakhs to each family. The state will also pay medical premiums to those who qualify.
The scheme is aimed at improving the state’s medical infrastructure. The Punjab government will also pay for the treatments of financially weak applicants.
Aside from this, the SSBY will empower its beneficiaries. They will be able to avail all kinds of benefits from the state and the central government.
The state government has launched the AB-SSBY scheme to ensure financial security for seventy-five percent of its citizens. To be eligible, the applicant must be a Punjab resident, below the poverty line and a legal resident of the state.
